Ms. Chung will be performing Brahms’ magnificent Violin Concerto with her brother, Myung Whun Chung, conducting the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. The concerts (both of which are sold out) will take place at Tokyo Opera City (4 October) and Suntory Hall (5 October).

An extraordinary collaboration is to take place as Kyung-Wha Chung embarks of a bumper tour of seven concerts with First Prize winner of the 2015 Chopin International Piano Competition, Seong-Jin Cho.  This magnificent duo’s tour of their native South Korea will see them perform at the Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Center (1 September), Guri Arts Hall (2 September), Gyeongnam Culture & Art Center in Jinju (5 September), Yeulmaru Arts Center in Yeosu (6 September), Gangneung Arts Center (8 September) and two SOLD OUT performances at the Seoul Arts Center (11 & 12 September).  The programme will include Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No.7, Franck’s Violin Sonata in A major and Schumann’s Violin Sonata No.1.

Continuing her recent collaboration with Sir Antonio Pappano in Rome, Kyung Wha Chung will make her Abu Dhabi Festival debut with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.  Ms Chung’s performance of Brahms’ Violin Concerto will take place at the world renowned Emirates Palace on 12 March.

Kyung Wha Chung and Kevin Kenner to perform in Spain and Italy

Legendary violinist Kyung Wha Chung travels to Southern Europe to perform at Teatro Principal Alicante in Spain on 23 October and Conservatoria Statale di Musica “Giuseppe Verdi” in Turin on 25 October. She is joined by ICA pianist and long-time sonata partner Kevin Kenner, and performing sonatas by Debussy, Fauré and Franck.

Several Wright Music Management artists will take part in the 14th annual PyeongChang Music Festival

Several ICA artists will take part in the 14th annual PyeongChang Music Festival (formerly known as the Great Mountains Music Festival & School), led by Artistic Director Kyung Wha Chung, taking place from 18 July until 7 August in South Korea. Pianist Kevin Kenner will be performing on 3 August as part of the Distinguished Artist Series. Stephen Kovacevich will perform on 28 July during which he will join the stage with Kyung Wha Chung, and subsequently perform on 1 August and 6 August. In addition, he will be leading a masterclass on 2 August, teaching the young students of the PyeongChang Music School. Artistic Director Kyung Wha Chung herself will also take part in a recital on 3 August and the final concert on 7 August.
